Ten cups rise above the happy family enjoying their home. The children play, and the couple raise arms in unison to form the outline of a new chalice.
In tens, we see the culmination of one cycle and possibly the transitional flip to a new level on the Spiral of Life.
In cups, this can mean a deep gratitude and enjoyment of life’s blessings however humble or common place they seem. Gratitude may be nice for the receiver – but it is the person who feels and expresses the joy of Universal Grace that is the biggest winner.
In gratitude, the Universe magnifies and returns our joy with more of what we focus on. It works with any focal point, so be ware of negativity and pessimism. In this card especially, what you see is what you get.
On the Shadow: This card in the reverse or badly surrounded may signify a sudden over-excitement of passions as the fullness of our hearts overflows it’s contents. Rainbows are brief but magickal while they last.
Images from The Smith-Waite Tarot Centennial Edition Deck are used in this blog. They feature the artist, Pamela Colman Smith’s, original coloring and lovely back design. The cards are a bit oversized and printed on sturdy cardstock. This deck is one of my personal favorites. =:->AD
